Having retired from playing club cricket Jogendra took up yoga to keep fit and nurture some sports injuries. He soon found the benefits of yoga and wanting to share with others, trained to teach in Sivananda tradition. He attended various teaching seminars at Sivananda ashrams in India, Austria and UK and completed a foundation course in yoga therapy at Yoga Biomedical Trust London. He brings a fusion of various styles of yoga to teach at his classes which are always popular. He has a teaching experience of 11 years. He motivates students to practice safely at their own level. It is said
‘If you can breathe, you can practice yoga’ he therefore wishes to encourage less-abled students to take up chair yoga.
